Secondly, during Crabbe’s journey, he learns how to survive in the forest and also learns some new skills that will be helpful which shows that he has developed intellectually. After Crabbe saves Mary from the hunt camp, he uses her compass to guide them back to the campsite since he knows how to use it: “First, we were on course. Mary’s compass had kept us on track” (Bell 131). Crabbe was able to use the compass to get back to the campsite and he was going the right way because he said he was on course. By using the compass to navigate shows that Crabbe intellectually develops because before he met Mary he did not know how to use a compass but now he is an expert at it.
Multiple factors could have affected each one of the state’s and county’s decisions on whether they succeeded from the union or stayed loyal. The main historical factors under consideration were the number of slaves per white man, the agricultural wealth per white man, the availability of transportation by rail or water, and the percent slave population in respect to total population. While reviewing the data, I found that throughout Georgia and the counties Bibb and Heard, there was a large presence of slaves per white man as well as a large overall population of slaves in each of these regions. There was about three slaves per white man and around a 40% overall slave population. This evidence compelled me to think that these regions would
There are many strength of the NIBRS, many of which outnumber the weaknesses. An important strength is its wide range of crimes it 's able to collect, ranging from terrorism, hate crimes, and abuse of the elderly. This allows for for information to be collected. which in itself makes it a better system then the Summary reporting system. Other strengths include its availability to more people with its higher amount of information, more reliable data, and how it allows agencies to work together for similar cases.

During a military conference, on July 21, 1940, Hitler declared war against the Soviet Union. The code name was Barbarossa and the goal was to obtain more “Lebensraum”, which means living space, for the Germans. Several factors of the war against the Soviet Union caused Hitler not to be able to have power over the land. Hitler did not agree with the German Army High Command (OKH) that Moscow was a priority to take over during the war. He also did not to listen to his general Jodl, who was in charge of the combined services command staff, who suggested that he go to Moscow at the beginning of the war.
Was the Revolution Really Revolutionary? The Revolutionary War was truly, not revolutionary because the women did not get the rights they deserved until over 100 years later, slavery was not abolished and African Americans did not get rights until 1865 and 1965 respectively, and people who were poor had no more legislative representation after the “Revolution” that they did prior to this war. As seen in Document 7, during the Revolutionary War, Abigail Adams wrote a letter to her husband, John Adams, who had much political power and money asking him to “Remember the ladies” and be “more generous and favorable” to them. She also noted that the women “have no voice or representation” in the colonies and that it needs to change. This was in 1776.

Barb: Problems with defined contribution pension plans. A defined benefit pension plan promises an employee an income at retirement “based on their pay and length of service” (Falling Short - Workers are sleepwalking towards an impoverished old age, 2008) whereas a defined contribution plan is one where the financial outcome “depends on the investment performance of the fund that the employee has paid into” (Falling Short - Workers are sleepwalking towards an impoverished old age, 2008). Most employers now have a defined contribution plan where an employee is selecting from different investment options such as stocks, bonds, and mutual funds. They select which investment plans and what percentage of their contribution goes into each investment.
I think that the most significant weakness is that the NIBRS is one of the more detailed databases in the fact that it tracks for useful information like offenders with multiple offenses or multiple victims, however it is highly under reported. NIBRS was designed to improve the weakness that occur within the UCR, nevertheless if nobody is reporting to the database it cannot improve. According to Terry (2013), “Currently, police departments representing only 17 percent of the population submit data to NIBRS” (pg. 11). That is a huge weakness that only 17% report to NIBRS.
It is said that “the tax hike would bring in an additional $326.7 million in annual revenue for a state that is operating under severe budget constraints”(Teague). If the tax on smoking goers up it can bring some of that money back in. The bad thing is that Americans are still losing more money from smoking than receiving. The Oklahoma City Bombing was a true tragedy. In the Bombing “ The dead would number 168, including 19 children”(Ripley).

The first main area that Healthy People 2020 is focusing on when it comes to tobacco use is implementing policies to decrease the tobacco use, especially in younger generations (CDC, 2016). The second area of focus is on health system changes by increasing accessibility, affordability to smoking cessation treatments and resources (CDC, 2016). The third focus is on implementing policies to make tobacco less affordable, to limit publicizing, and to inhibit sales to underage population (CDC,
Smoking is a choice and no one is forcing that upon people. The public has been well warned about the risks of smoking; therefore, the people smoking are fully aware that their lives are at risk. Tobacco companies should not be held responsible for smoking-related illnesses and deaths because once people put the tobacco in their mouths, they are putting there own life at risk themselves, and because as individuals we have a choice on whether or not to smoke cigarette. It 's true that tobacco companies aren 't accountable for why people smoke. Nonetheless, every tobacco product has a warning label on it therefore it 's not the companies responsibility from smoking-related illnesses and deaths.
Smoking has become a social habit nowadays. When people around are smoking, the person practically feel like he/she should be doing the same. And this is increasing day by day in our country. Smoking tribulates almost every organ of the body. It is the leading cause of more than 443,00 deaths each year.
