Who is Barbara Ehrenreich? Barbara Ehrenreich is a bestselling author! Ehrenreich is best known for her book “ Nickel and Dimed”. The book is about Ehrenreich herself doing a three month, experiment project. Ehrenreich is challenging herself to survive, three months on minimum wage.
Barbara Charline Jordan was born on February 21, 1936. Jordan was born in Houston, Texas. Jordan’s parents were, Ben Jordan; a black Baptist minister, and Arlyne Jordan a so called ‘domestic worker’. Jordan was the first southern black female to be elected to the United States House of Representatives. Everything she did was dedicated for all the black people.
She soon died on October 4, 1951 at John Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore at the young age of 31. She soon because one of the most famous dead person. What made her unique?

Two documents reveal the differences in the opinions of the opposing sides during the women’s rights movement. In an “Interview with Phyllis Schlafly” by the Washington Star, published on January 18, 1976, Ms. Schlafly opposed both the ERA and the Women’s Rights movement. Comparatively, the “Statement of Purpose” by the National Organization for Women, published on October 29, 1966, stated that NOW stood for Women’s Rights and equality.
Barbara Kingsolver is a world renowned American novelist, poet, and essayist. She has written many literary works including, but not limited to, controversial subjects such as politics, nature, and social issues. Kingsolver’s many unique experiences in life have made her the author she is today and ultimately inspired her to write The Poisonwood Bible; one of the most complex and controversial novel out of all of her works. Kingsolver was born in Annapolis, Maryland on April 8, 1955. Shortly after her birth, Kingsolver’s family moved to an alfalfa farm in Carlisle, Kentucky, where she spent the majority of her early youth.
As we celebrate Black American History month this is a time to reflect on contributions made by many African Americans. One person that comes to mind is Barbara Jordan. Barbara Jordan was important because she had an impact on the African American community by being the first African American in the Texas Senate, a Civil Rights leader, a speaker for the Democratic National Convention, and she will always be remembered for her role in the Nixon impeachment. The Scientific Method is a way to answer and ask scientific questions by creating a hypothesis and creating an experiment. The steps of the scientific method include: asking a question, background research, creating a hypothesis, test your hypothesis by doing an experiment, analyzing the data, drawing a conclusion, and finally publishing your results. There are many places in the book The Hot Zone by Richard Preston in which steps of the scientific method are used, the first one I found was during the Kitum Cave expedition. In the Kitum Cave expedition, Eugene Johnson set up an experiment to test if the source of the virus that infected Peter Cardinal and Charles Monet was inside Kitum Cave.

She went with eight other black students, and they got discriminated against and they got physically hurt and mentally hurt.
