Snow had fallen overnight, a white blanket stretched out upon the horizon for all to see. The freshly fallen snow was empty of footprints, the surroundings were surprisingly empty and not a single specimen in sight. Crows loitered the grounds as if they were preparing for battle, a war in which no one could see coming. A cross brandished itself above their cabin, forever warding off evil. Ex-Military Staff-Sergeant Kristina Harvey stepped out from the desolate cabin and slid her Katana into its holder, the precision matching the way she had been taught during her time in the military.
