The history of baseball is very exciting! Right now I will tell a little bit of the history of baseball. Baseball was created by a man named Abner Doubleday. Baseball has had a couple of names including base, townball, and rounders. All of these names are early names for the game we play today. Baseball started out with only a couple of people because of the population of some towns. Baseball evolved over time and so did its number of players. By 1871 the game of baseball had enough clubs to form the very first baseball league also known as the National League. Then in the 1970’s the highest paid player in baseball was only getting paid 150,000 dollars, but by the 1980’s that was the average pay for a player.
