Vision Statement
Our vision for the NCAA Division I men’s basketball tournament is to create a celebratory environment that honors the achievements of its student athletes by producing a memorable experience that highlights a successful season that culminates at the national championship.
Mission Statement
The mission of the NCAA men’s basketball tournament is to:
1) Enhance the student-athlete experience;
2) Engage internal and external partners;
3) Develop a strategic plan for future championships;
4) Standardize administrative procedures.
Goals
The men’s basketball committee and staff are committed to providing student-athletes, coaches, partners and fans with a tournament experience that celebrates the achievements of its member institutions, by enhancing the culture of the tournament in which is manages.

• Invite former student-athletes to sit on panels and discussion groups to get the perspective of someone who has experienced the event first hand.
Reflection Summary
The primary reason I chose to write about the NCAA tournament experience is due to my knowledge of the championship and the essentials required in order to remain successful. Having the opportunity to see first-hand the importance of knowing the “customer” provides you with the tools to grow the championship, if used in the proper manner.
My vision statement originates from the environment we work diligently to create. The feeling one has when they arrive to the championship host city sets the stage for their overall experience.
