However, when their freedom is infringed, tactics are devised to gain these rights. The Algerian War of Independence depicts the plight of the citizens in the hands of the brutal French government. This war is highlighted in the film Battle of Algiers (1966) directed by Gillo Pontecorvo. The military aspect of the film stands out since the tactics involved involve meticulous planning and execution. The presence of the oppressive French regime gives rise to the National Liberation Front (FLN) which embraces terroristic activities to overthrow this tyrannical government. Bombs are also planted in the Arab neighborhoods injuring and killing many citizens. No system is without weaknesses, and the French military has its faults. The state officers have a weakness for beautiful women. The FLN capitalizes on this strategy by using women to carry bombs in designated locations including the French embassy and the De La Rue Cafe. The meticulous planning and execution of this movement are evident in the way the women carry these bombs in their bags without being suspected by the police and the military. There is need to identify the culprits as well as the means of solving the rebel resistance according to the General. In addition to that, it is essential for the military to differentiate the individuals and the bombings in order to succeed in weeding out the resistance leaders. The primary strategy is to isolate these leaders and then destroy them. However, the fundamental problem that the military faces are that organizations are faceless and identifying the leaders is impossible based on the clip the general shows to the military offices. The matter is further complicated by the use of ID's which cannot give the military the needed information about the
