Final Summary This story is mostly about Opal, a ten year old girl who wants friends and her mom to come back. But later she learns that if you really love something let it go.
It all started when Opal went to the grocery store, saw and dog and decided to rescue him. He was a stinky, ugly dog but Opal couldn’t stand the fact that he would have to go to the pound so she said that the dog was hers.
