A passenger on flight 20 seat 3 row 8 is looking very suspicious as he placed an object in his bag before he took his seat. Air marshals have to ask themselves questions about these types of situations before taking action. When seeking a career as a Us Marshal, a person should look at aspects such as ones responsibilities, necessary skills, work conditions, salary, and its prospects, but even more importantly is to prepare oneself properly by attending an institution such as the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) that will offer the best training possible. One thing that i am looking forward to is that being a Us Marshal will help me stay physically fit. To work as a Marshal you are recommended to pass the physical fitness test. In this test you have to pass it in categories like a 1.5mile run, sit and reach, sit-ups and push ups. They usually just grade you in the amount of time you can do what they ask. There are different requirement for men and women, that are broken down by age brackets in each of those fitness areas, as well as a minimum body fat percentage. You also have to be between the ages of 21 and 36(unless granted an age waiver). The physical part is important in this line of work to make sure to keep up with criminals attempting to flee. This work will also require frequent travel, either looking for fugitives , transporting criminals or having an assignment. Although entry pay is slightly above $38,000 this will promote great opportunity for advanced law enforcement experience (Us Marshal/Gov2).The Marshals Service is part of the executive branch of government, and is the enforcement arm of the Us Federal Courts. “The U.S. Marshals are the primary agency for fugitive operations. To conclude this information about this career and College there are positives and negatives about it. The University of Texas at San Antonio is a great University that has a great criminal justice program. That should help you become what you want to become in life that falls under that career path. The negative about it is that there are about 28,000 students there and it will be hard to concentrate on school. The University is known for its events on and off campus.
