This quote said by Hauser means that there are so many open spots for welding and great opportunities for employment. A career that is worth pursuing is being a welder. Welders mainly weld pieces of metal together to create a building or object, and also add structural support to mostly a lot of different things. Becoming a welder is a great career choice because of the excellent pay and benefits, a changing working environment, and the opportunity for advancement.

The work schedule for a welder can range from 8-12 hour shifts and overtime is an option if someone’s looking for some extra cash. The work schedules may be a bit vigorous to some but most of the time there's little movement while welding so it’s not super physically demanding, but also paying good for each hour of work. The work environment of a welder also changes and it can bring people to different parts of the world depending on skill level and how bad they’re needed for different types of projects. This is good for anyone looking to have a versatile working space and also like to be outdoors while working. The employment rate as of 2021 was 428,000 people on record so there aren’t many welders in the world which means they are in high demand for the welding field, giving a better chance for employment. This means that getting a career in welding wont be super hard to do as they are in demand. The suspected change in employees from 2021 to 2031 is a 6900 person change or a 2 percent change. This means that there won't be a big change in how many welders there will be working so employment and advancement will be relatively open for new employees. The generation of welders working now are all also getting to the age or point of retirement, and they are also needed for the new modern cities that are expanding daily.
