My husband and I coached teams and took them to tournaments everywhere. After I was done my school life I was a part of accreditation committee for BIA schools. I served on this committee for about 44 years until I retired. I still have loved ones who are alive and well today such as my son, cousins, and grandchildren. I wish I were still there with them and with the schools to help them, but maybe after hearing this you will go out and do something for your community.
This experience made me realize that I impact and I am a role model in so many children's lives and I try to live my life in a positive manner knowing that there are others people watching me like them. Among the borders of the United States of America, puzzles pieces were missing when establishing a national government role to provide rules and regulations within the Nation. In 1777, a debate between Congressmen resulted in a Constitution being written, the first written Constitution to be instituted and conscripted by the Congressmen (Fonder 249). They then called the first written constitution in the United States of America the Articles of Confederation. The mission that needed to be accomplished with the new constitution being implied were to make improvements of the overall security, balancing power between each of the thirteen states dealing with the issues of their independence.

For most of my childhood, the sport of baseball was the one activity I loved above anything else. Nothing could compare to the exhilarating freedom and satisfaction of bolting full speed around the bases, determined to steal 2nd, beating the "Throwdown" by a fraction of a second. The massive dust cloud kicked up by my cleats and the thunderous boom of the umpire shouting, "Safe!" made me feel empowered. It was in moments like those, when I was in control of my own fate, choosing whether to stay or to run, whether to play it safe or to risk failure, that I learned one of the most important lessons of my life.
While playing for a fall league team, a coach from a travel team took notice in me, and he asked me to join his team. Little did I know, my acceptance of the offer shaped who I am now by giving me all kinds of character traits such as teamwork and responsibility. Another memorable event was my first home run. I remember that day as if it were yesterday, and my first home run will always be one of my happiest memories. When I spend time at
As a sports team, we obviously have goals; our main reason being to win against our opponents. The entire reason a team is put together and participating in practice almost every day is going towards our goal as a team to win games. Aside from our goal of winning our games, my volleyball team also worked our way to going to districts—where the top teams go to play against each other for the title of district champions. Then, if we were to make it past districts, we would participate in trying to win states—another tournament that multiple winners of different districts come together to compete against each other. Joining the volleyball team for me was for my personal enjoyment and to get involved in my high school community.

You might not guess that I’m an athlete by looking at me, after all, I can barely do five pushups and I tend to get winded after only ten minutes of jogging. To be fair, I haven’t done any sports in almost four years, but being an athlete is a part of who I am. I will always view the world through the lens of the things I learned in the gym. Being an athlete changed me, it shaped me into a person that I am proud to be, it gave me confidence and taught me the value of hard work; I honestly don’t think I would be the same person I am now if I hadn’t been a competitive gymnast for three years.
