Since I was able to put on my own rubber boots and walk myself to the field, I have always been around cattle. From bottle feeding them from day one, to watching them grow and reproduce. Pulling calves, feeding cattle, and giving them all of their needs, is no big deal for me. I find cattle very important in today’s society. Some say they are a waste of time, but they don’t know that. Yes, cattle do take a lot of time, it’s not an easy job. I’ve also always grown up eating beef, I believe it is a very important part of my diet. Beef contains a tremendous amount of nutrition that helps our body function properly. Scientists have found that vitamin B12 contained in beef is not found in any other types of meat. Beef also contains a good amount of iron, protein, and Zinc. There would be a crazy amount of grass fires if we removed cattle. People think the local coffee shop is important because it’s been passed down from generation to generation, but just think about livestock markets.The majority of them have been passed down from generation to generation. The beef industry is also very important because it employs several million people, a beef plant is usually the largest employer in a community.
