It depicts the story of Alexa a con artist who exploits individual newfound in the entertainment industry, by alluring them with her lavish life style and offering them their shot at a flawless famed life. The story revolves around Evan Wyler, a new writer, who she tricks. Masterfully, Alexa disappears before his credit card bill is due and he is left in ruins. Despaired, the writer plots a failed revenge with others who were conned. After refusing to comply with her schemes, he publishes a novel featuring Alexa’s story. Probably in her late twenties, Alexa is a false personality built by Brenda, her true self, and Mike Stabinsky. While her deceitful character appears to be rich, Alexa owns nothing as she lives her day to day leeching form others. With regard to her relationships, no family is mentioned, since when Brenda acquires the bombastic personality of Alexa, she ditches her empathy with others, which weakened her relationships. For example, her the repetitive story she shares with all her victims, only alternating in her “husband’s” death, reveals she has no essence put into the developing of bonds with others. Especially the way Leslie is constantly touching her victim to flirt and build false romance, maneuvers her malicious intentions, rather than aiding her
