“There are and will be a thousand princes; but there is only one Beethoven.”(Bio A&E) People look up to Ludwig Van Beethoven as an artist. Not only because of his music, but because of his hard work and dedication he put into them. Beethoven’s life was like a rollercoaster. He had his good days and his bad days. Although, he still managed to make music that people listen to today. Music was his escape and his passion. Ludwig studied piano at a young age. His father wanted him to be a successful musician. He was very strict towards Beethoven. Beethoven was forced to play at concerts but that’s when everyone, including himself, started to realize that he had an astonishing gift. He would work on a piece until it was absolutely perfect, no flaws at all. Sometimes it even took him years! His most famous symphonies were, “Moonlight Sonata”, and “Fidelio”. (Hoffman, Steve) Later on, he met up with a famous Russian Pianist for a duel, Beethoven takes the win. Everyone was amazed! It takes a person with a lot of skill to beat a talented pianist. His life then, made a sharp turn. He struggled to make out words spoken to him. He knew that his life was coming to an end. He thought about suicide. Just imagine not being able to do something you have a passion for. It was a tragedy for everyone. They all thought that his career would officially end. But, they were all wrong. Beethoven would not let anything get in his way. No matter what the case was. Beethoven’s mind was extraordinary! He was able to hear songs in his mind and he remembered how the keys to his piano sounded like. He had to remove the legs to his piano to feel the vibrations better and would lay with flat on the floor and press his ear against the ground.
