Have you ever been shot in the head for fighting for what you believe in? Have you ever had enough of people not caring about climate change? Those are some of the things Malala Yousafzai and Greta Thunberg (teen activists) have to deal with while fighting for what they believe in. It is not easy to be a teen activist. To further explain that, It takes a strong will to be a teen activist. Even when teen activists feel like they aren’t getting noticed, they have to never give up. Teen activists' character traits include determination, bravery, and passion. It is not easy to be a teen activist because it requires a lot of determination/passion, it requires a lot of bravery, and people have high expectations for teen activists to work hard to …show more content…

One example is that in the Alex Lin Brower Youth Awards 2007 video on inspiremykids.com it says that “In 2006, the state of Rhode Island passed a bill that bans improper disposal of e-waste.” This shows that Alex Lin was so determined to stop e-waste pollution that he went to the statehouse and helped make a bill pass. Another example of this is that in the Time person of the year 2019 article on Dogo News Greta Thunberg skipped school on Friday to strike for climate change. This illustrates that Greta was so determined to fight for climate change that she skipped learning stuff in school to fight for what she believes in. The final example that shows it takes a lot of determination/passion to be a teen activist is in the Malala Yousafzai Nobel Peace Prize Speech video on Youtube, Malala made an inspiring speech and won the Nobel Peace Prize for it. This shows that Malala was so determined to speak out about the right to education, that she was given a prize, which is definitely not easy to do. (Westerly Innovations Network) went to the Rhode Island state house to present their powerpoint about e-waste. It is not easy to go to the statehouse and present something. It takes a lot of bravery to go to someplace that official, especially since it is so intimidating. A final example that shows it takes a lot of bravery to be a teen activist is in the Greta Thunberg roasts world leaders for being “blah, blah, blah” on climate action article on CNN it states that “Swedish activist Greta Thunberg mocked world leaders- including US president Joe Biden and the UK’s Boris Johnson at a youth climate summit in Milan on Tuesday, (when that happened) saying that the last thirty years of climate action had amounted to “blah, blah, blah.” It takes a lot of bravery to mock world leaders and know that you’re going to get a lot of backlash from a lot of people.
