“Being famous on Instagram is the same thing as being rich in monopoly”- Author Unknown. This quote represents my thoughts on about how being famous in a fake reality just like being rich in a game. It also shows how people shouldn’t be worried about all of this stuff. I challenge the decision to allow teenagers more access to social media and texting. People have died from an obsession to be famous and impress on these silly apps. Others have given up their lives due to cyberbullying. Another thing is the unhealthy obsession with social media and texting. The first reason I am against social media is because people are wasting their time on their phones and as a result of constantly being on our phones people die everyday. Christal McGee 19 year old driver was on her way home from work September 2015. When she pulled out her phone to use Snapchat filter that allows you to record how fast you go, so she accelerated some more, reaching 113 mph. Eventually she crashed into an uber driver at 107 mph. In my opinion almost every teenager with a phone is texting and/or posting something on their facepage, instagram, snapchat, and other things like that. Most of the time you can watch as someone texting and that stuff as they are with their with their family and at the park and just about anywhere. But of course my opposer argumenter who supports it all has a point when they say that it has improved communication and being updated in the world much easier. But of course there is my proof, facts, and stories I have shown also prove my point that us teenagers need to be limited more because we have created obsessions also we can be very irresponsible and stupid. We don’t think before we act and that is why I do not have social media but like everybody I do
