Charlotte, the protagonist of “ Being Friends with Boys” By Terra Elan Mcvoy and I are alike in many ways. We both share the same view of the world, and are viewed by the world in similar ways and I would respond in a comparable way to the central conflict of the novel. Therefore, I believe given the chance , we could be friends.
The world views my protagonist Charlotte as a regular teenager who love music, life, friends, and most definitely her family. Her sister Jilly definitely is the closest to charlotte. Jilly views charlotte as a strong, Independent girl who isn’t afraid to speak her mind. Jilly also views her as someone with a forgiving heart. Her first problem was when one of her best friends quit their band called Sad Jackal. She dealt with this problem by confronting them and then holding auditions. While all of this is going on her best friends and soon to be lover Trip gets jealous over charlotte liking and hanging out wit her new friends benji. Trip get so jealous that he decides to stop talking to her, claiming that she doesn’t have time for him. So to try and make charlotte jealous Trip gets a girlfriend and top talking to charlotte. But they are lost without each other charlotte doesn 't have her best friend to help her i bad situation. So charlotte joined a new band with two her of older girl friends, which cause a problem with sad jackal. To solve her problem with sad jackal, charlotte openly talk to them and rejoins the band just in time for their winter formal performance. But to solve her problem with trip he writes his feeling for he in a notebook and she reads it and yells at him “What am i supposed to do say sorry you had feelings for me and I didn’t know”, Charlotte eventually decides to forgive him because she realized that she loved him
