The term “Niggerization” has many discourses, but only one fundamental truth and meaning. It is the implication that psychological and lifestyle impulses assume the role of a subordinate, with the abstract meaning or intension of a term which is used to subjugate individuals with a common history that is intertwined in a common thread of identity and experience, particularly the African American one. Being niggerized just doesn’t happen overnight. It takes years of deprogramming, and reprogramming to successfully niggerize an individual or a group. If you are dehumanized down to a degree where you just give up and accept whatever you’re given, that is a form of being niggerized. If you are not letting your voice be heard, because you are constantly in fear of being attacked, criticized, dehumanized and/or vilified, that is also another way of being niggerized. Our niggerized mind is taught to protect the master’s ideology, (the oppressor) even if it’s detrimental to our well-being. The only way we can right this wrong and heal this injustice is by voicing our truths and theirs. When we are honest, we take a stand for who we really are, no matter what color, ethnic group or class. The oppressor depends on the silence of the oppressed to further its agenda. So now I will ask you this question, how do we become niggerized? In my opinion “greed” has a big part in this process. Greed is the overwhelming desire to obtain something you don’t really need, but been taught to feel that you do.
