Once upon a time, long ago, there was a beautiful girl named Belle. She was always happy, and everybody adored her. Belle lived in a petite town with her father in a simple cottage. One day, her father had to take their chickens to go trade with a man in the other village. While her decrepit father stalked up the waggon, she was fearful for his safety on his dangerous quest. As he ventured out for his journey, it started to snow increasingly. Belle’s father could no longer travel in these harsh conditions. So, he stopped mid journey by an old castle, not knowing if anybody still inhabited the mansion. When he approached the door, he heard something growl. Desperate for answers, Belle ran around the streets, asking people if there was any sign of him. Everybody had told her no. By the end of the day, there was a small group of men set out to search for him. The men set out into the chilly forest in search for clues about his strange disappearance. “I came to save my father.” she said with no fear. he released her and looked over at her father. “Well I need a prisoner so it’s you or him, make a choice.” he said. Belle quickly made her choice. As she informed the beast, he threw her father out the door, for she had chosen to take his spot as the prisoner. The beast nonchalantly showed her the room in which she would be staying in. It was fairly large, but just as dark as the rest of the house. He shut the door on Belle and left her in there. She cautiously walked over to the window seat where for the window is her only light source. She found a blanket atop of an unknown object and tugged it off. Inside, was a beautiful red rose, surrounded by decaying petals. At last remembered the story about the beast. An evil witch cursed the prince to be the ugly beast he acted like, and if he didn’t fall in love with somebody before all the petals fall off, then he’d be a beast forever.
