It is very true that, one has to work hard in order to succeed and success can only come when we build our self image and take responsibility for our actions. Benjamin’s arguments are compelling because, he was able to make it work and become an American icon. In addition, he gives an account of his struggles, experiences and accomplishments to his son in a chronological order. Moreover, the autobiography shows how he was able to work on his mistakes and how he improved his self. In his autobiography, Benjamin was able to prove that he was a compassionate man who was ready to help others.
