There is a good and an evil in everyone… it just matters what side you show. One isn’t born evil and one isn’t born good. You choose the kind of person that you want to be. Not only are people evil, but situations and places can be evil too. The world today is an evil place, there is not many people that have a good heart anymore. It is the people that are genuine and true that will help out this world to become a much nicer place to be. Think back to World War 2, Nazi Germany. The most evil man that anyone can think of in that time period is Hitler. Hitler was not born the way he was, he chose to be that kind of person and torture innocent lives. The people that went along with what Hitler was doing also weren’t born evil, they were constantly around that kind of violence so it grew on them and they started to become the evil itself. 9/11, the most tragic day that anyone in the united states had ever experienced there were some of the most brave and courageous people. The good that was shown on that day was indescribable, so many people whether it was firefighters, pedestrians, or police officers, they were doing whatever took to help. Beowulf was taking on the role that the pedestrians, police officers and firefighters had. Beowulf was not going to give up until the evil was gone, until he could have his kingdom safe from dangers. “The monster wrenched and wrestled with him but Beowulf was mindful of his mighty strength, the wondrous gifts God had showered on him: He relied for help on the Lord of All, on His care and favour. So he overcame the foe, brought down the hell-brute.”(1269-1274). This shows how Beowulf was not going to give up until all evil was gone away from his kingdom and people.
