Since inputs deliver a continuous distillation of energy into the system, the higher quality the inputs or resources are, the more productive Bethel University would be at accomplishing its mission (Nassar, 2007). In this sense, if students with a true desire to further their education in order to better themselves were sought, then Bethel would become more successful in its goal attainment. Instead, it seems that recruitment seeks individuals seeking a quick fix to their current financial situations rather than those truly wanting to improve themselves by attaining an education. By increasing the selectivity of applicants, Bethel could modify its graduation rate to any anticipated level (Abdallah, Babbitt, & Heilman, 2017). While this will cause a reduction in the number of students admitted, Bethel would still achieve its desired output of a college graduate even if the input is suitably chosen (Abdallah et al., 2017). …show more content…

A viable business approach and strategic plan enhance the opportunities that an organization will be effective and attainment builds loyalty (Sullivan, 2011). Furthermore, if the plan and the strategy are well-defined and completely conveyed, not only will faculty and staff be more encouraged, but knowing the intentional objective will aid them in staying dedicated (Sullivan, 2011). Thus, Bethel’s productivity would increase in producing aspiring college graduates.
Lastly, it seems that Bethel could search for vendors that would provide larger discounts to universities for buying in bulk for items such as paper and toner. Bethel’s Purchasing Department should increase desired supplier agreements to comprise more of the campuses and then bargain contracts with specified suppliers for lower costs for similar quality materials (Kiley,
