Superintendent Elliott made some errors in this situation. A couple of the errors were responding to the parent complaint without referring him to the proper level and failing to listen to the principal. The complaint that was made by the parent is something that should have been handled by the building principal. Instead of trying to take care of the situation himself the superintendent he should have led the parent to the correct building level channel first to come to allow them the chance to come to a solution. The building principal should have been able to build a stronger school community relation with this parent by being honest and handling his mistake.

Corporal punishment was allowed to be committed by teachers in almost every situation, but at Trinity there was a different story. Only the headmaster was allowed to commit corporal punishment and if so, “on extreme occasions”. Although the government has since banned corporal punishment for non-government schools in 2006. Other states are still yet to take action and corporal punishment is still allowed in non-government schools.
The staff can be reassigned pending the outcome of the superintendent investigation or the staff may resign or be terminated. The superintendent must report all the findings and judgements to the department of education. The department of education then shall maintain each report of misconduct as a public record in the instructional personnel's certification files (F.S. 1012.796(d). d. Two key points of the MDCPS expectation for reporting child abuse are that the staff has to immediately report the abuse to the twenty-four (24) hour, toll-free DCF Central Abuse Hotline. In 2010, Russlyn Ali wrote a letter to their colleagues about reducing bullying in schools (Doc. G). The purpose of the letter was to warn administrators that they must take harassment and discrimination incidents seriously (Doc. G). In the letter, it included an important statement which listed important information on harassment and what it includes. The letter stated "harassment may take many forms including verbal acts, name-calling, and graphic and written statements. It may also include being physically threatened."
Linda Sterling, her husband Ron, and their son Travis Sterling were accused of sexually abusing children at the Preschool. One day a little girl came home from daycare and her mother found redness and broken skin on her bottom, so she asked her about it and she replied “a stranger had been poking me with a pink rope, lives at Linda’s” (Pasiuk “Satanic Panic”). She times her student and they all have to work quickly and quietly. They grade the bell ringer after words she asks for their grade and they have to say it out loud.

Still, coming from a long line of educators indicate that paddling in the principal’s office will never disappear with legislation, due to Texas is a state of entrenched rural values and stress on local control. Statewide bans failed at least several times. None of the bills made it out of the committee, now parents have the opt-out slips, and administrators agree that it bears an impingement. I think that teachers should limit what they teach in classrooms. I think that the teachers should keep their teaching appropriate towards the students. If a parent does not want their child to be associated with the teaching of the school, they should speak with the teacher or school in a private manner. If you want your child to attend the school, you should let the teachers teach the things that will benefit the students. Parents should know what goes on in school classrooms so that their children can get the education they need in life.
