Beyoncé is a globally respected figure, that has worked hard since childhood to get where she id today. Her achievements at the age of just 33 are astonishing and her career is far from over. She is an inspiration and role model for females across the globe, proving to be one of the hardest working woman in show business today. Beyoncé does her best to use her success to benefit others and give back to those less fortunate. Beyoncé is an advocate for feminism and equality of the sexes. Her prolific efforts as a humanitarian have benefited millions and are encouraging a strong drive that will ultimately change society for the better. She began preforming at the age of nine and by the age of 14 began her rise to fame as the lead singer of Destiny’s Child, along side Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland. Beyoncé’s father Matthew Knowles quit his job at Corporate America to become the group’s manager, helping them to secure a record deal. The group went on to be one of the worlds best selling girl groups of all time, before Beyoncé decided to break off on her own and pursue her career as a solo artist in 2003. Her first solo album Dangerously in Love earned her 5 Grammy’s and certified four times platinum, solidifying her as a brand. The global sensation has since released five solo albums, all of which have been an outstanding success. In 2008, the star married rapper Jay-Z and announced the arrival of their first child [Blue Ivy], in August 2011 on stage after her performance at the VMA’s.
