If anyone really knows how to take the entire world by storm in the palm in her hands, it would be none other than the fabulous Beyoncé Knowles. Not a doubt in this world exist that Beyoncé possesses incredible talent, which made her into a huge success. Though Beyoncé Giselle Knowles came into this world on September 4, 1981, it wasn’t until seven years later when young Beyoncé realized her passion for singing. Before that day, Beyoncé thought about being a hairstylist like her mother Tina Knowles or maybe a psychologist. But after performing John Lennon’s “Imagine” onstage at only seven years old, she knew she sealed her own destiny of one day becoming a singer (Arenofsky). Her enchanting vocals stand out in her single “Halo” from her 2008 album I Am…Sasha Fierce (Arenofsky). Beyoncé’s voice is amazingly perfect, hitting every note perfectly. In my opinion, best display of her raw vocals would be the time she sang the National Anthem at the 2013 Super Bowl. She sang the Star Spangled Banner in accapella and silenced the entire crowd with her graceful harmonies (Beyoncé Super Bowl 2013 Conference). Beyoncé represents the definition of self-confidence. “Your self-worth is determined by you. You don’t have to depend on someone telling you who you are.” She once quoted. She established her confidence at such a young age when a young Beyoncé would perform with her group in her mothers beauty salon, as young as seven years old (Arenofsky). Five years later, Beyoncé would be performing onstage with her group Girl’s Tyme (later renamed Destiny’s Child) on the television show Star Search (“Self-Titled”). She and her group did an incredible performance for such a young group, but unfortunately didn’t win the competition. However, that never placed a halt on Beyoncé’s drive. Beyoncé constantly a asserts her self-confidence and independence in her songs like her 2000 hit single “Independent Woman Part 1” along with Destiny’s Child (Arenofsky). My favorite of her confidence anthems would be her 2007 hit “Irreplaceable”, a song about kicking her man out of the house, taking away his car she bought, and assuring her independence without him (Arenofsky). She never feels shame about herself or her body; instead she embraces herself and her body by releasing her visual album “Liberation” after losing 65 pounds of baby weight. Not only did she release a visual album, after only three months after giving birth to her daughter Blue Ivy Carter, she lost over 50 pounds to star on the cover of Shape magazine
