The book by Beyonce: Running the World written by Anna pointer is the narrative of Houston born and bred Beyonces amazing life and how she grew up to be one of the most influential artist. The title of the book is not one fictional as it reflects one of the songs of the artists that talks about women having power and being influential and not succumbing to the norm of the imagery placed by the world used to place women in a position of weakness. The book describes Beyonce as an unrivaled entertainer and Anna pointer tells that Beyonce’s musical accomplishments make her unique artiste with a passion and who started out at a young age. The story tells Beyonce’s successful sign up with her initial pop group at the age of nine previous to forming the band Destiny's Child. She started out in a school called St Mary’s elementary where she learnt how to sing. One of her child hood friends Kelly Rowland and Beyonce were taken by a studio Manger Roberson and paced in a talent search. The father at the time resigned his job to manage the group. The group changed their name to destinies child and this is where their career started. The books give an account of the events that led to her being one of the best artists in the world. The accounts given in the book are those considered to be the most important and the events that led her to have the character she is in order for her to be the best. The book gives a series of events that made the way she is from her marriage and showing that she is involved with the most powerful rapper in the music industry. The book shows Beyonce as a woman who appreciates being a mother and shows that she takes it as being a huge responsibility 9Gailyah, 2014, p78). Her feelings of hardness and the troubles she has passed through make her appreciate being a mother. One of the main tragedies was the miscarriage she had; it is a time in her life that made her stronger. Another issue that she has gone through is drawn out conflict with depression and a distressing clash with her manager and father Mathew. All these events that happened show that Beyonce is a woman who knows about the hard times someone can go through in the pursuit of their happiness (Bailer, 2014). In her book she states that sometimes people loose and it can happen to anyone and this is a reflection of the failures that she has had in her life (Pointer, 2014, 89).
