Bharat Forge being established in 1961 with a government mandate to produce engine parts to meet India’s domestic automated productions who became the undisputed domestic leaders throughout the 1980s leading to be in the global suppliers to many auto giants after the liberalisation period in India. Suzlon started off in 1992 as a textile industry and later emerged as a successful wind energy producing firm in the global market. Forge and Suzlon experienced dramatic success in the domestic market acquiring the largest market share in their respective industries. Both the firms being started in India had the advantage of low labour costs and highly skilled engineers and expertise. On their later stages i.e. after they had gone global though the majority of their revenue was from international sales, the labour cost in India benefited them enormously. Both the companies had similar success strategies like high quality, low costs, quick delivery which altogether earned satisfied customers. Both the companies at right stages have upgraded there technologies, approach and have made the maximum utilization of globally available opportunities to attain their global ambitions. Merges and acquisitions being the part of history in both the companies for their current success have taken place at the right time exploiting the resources to the maximum, which forms the main base for their global success.
