Big Chain Companies Are Better Than Tire Pros

Big chain stores and businesses can offer better prices and services than a mom and pop store. Big chain stores also have a larger variety of products and services. Tire Pros has over 600 locations in the United States, but I prefer taking my car to Mike’s Tires rather than Tire Pros.
First, Tire Pros is less convenient than Mike’s Tires in Phelan. While Tire Pros has many locations in many cities, they are not my first choice. Their nearest location is more than 25 miles from my home. Tire Pros are a big impersonal place with employees that communicate with work orders, forms and customer numbers. The waiting rooms are filled with uncomfortable chairs, six months or older magazines and a TV stuck on a news channel. In contrast, Mike’s Tires has only one location. Tire Pros is a sales, oriented business. After waiting two hours for my 2007 Hyundai Elantra tries to be replaced, they Tire Pros Manager ask, “While your car is on the lift, would you like your brakes done. It will save you 50 dollars.” Tire Pros has longer wait times, even for smaller jobs such as flats I had to wait an hour. All services have a price tag and require paperwork. On the other hand, Mike’s Tires is a service, oriented business. When Tire Pros told my husband the two front rotors on his 1998 Toyota Corolla need replacing and it costs $500, we decided to take the car to Mike’s Tires. Mike checked the brakes and the Corolla only need new brake pads after paying $75 the car safe to drive again. When I have a flat tire Mike’s Tire fixes it right away and I am back on the road in ten minutes. Any time my 2007 Hyundai Elantra acts up, I take it to Mike’s Tire for a CarCode reading. The CarCode reading and printouts are a free service while other businesses charge $100 to $150 for the same
