In the movie "Big Daddy" a lazy law school student try's to impress his girlfriend by adopting a kid but everything does not go as planned and he becomes an unlikely foster parent. The movie stars Adam Sandler as Sonny Koufax a layabout that won $200,000 in a lawsuit after a car that runs over his foot. Sonny shares an apartment with a lawyer that is played by Jon Stewart that is doing very well it seems since the place they occupy would sell or rent for a serious amount of money. But Sonny's girlfriend that is played by Kristy Swanson and tells him to get a real job. But he thinks he has a real one, he is a tollbooth attendant. Just after the roommate heads out of town , little Julian played by Dylan and Cole Sprouse at the door. He is allegedly the roomate's love child. Sonny try's to give the child to protective services. Where suppose to think that if Sonny got custody of the kid it would be great. But more than likely the kid would turn out as a delinquent and maybe end up in Juvie. The film has a lot of supporting characters the most hilarious one is Sonny's roommate. This was Adam's last movie before opening his own production company, Happy Madison Productions and it was his first movie distributed by Columbia Pictures. It was produced by Dennis Dugan who has directed many movies ranging from Happy Gilmore, Jack and Jill, and both of the Grown ups movies.
