Big Idea Hershey’s philosophy is to deliver good quality products to their customers. For example, listening to their customers so the company can get a good understanding of what we, customers expect and what we like. Another example, is that the Hershey company has developed ingredients with farmers and suppliers. The Hershey company’s purpose or belief is to reflect everything that they do takes a lot of planning. For instance, they’re all about goodness when it comes to their iconic brands. Hershey didn’t have a formal education and was bankrupt twice, he still became one of North America’s biggest chocolate factory. Milton S. Hershey became one of America’s wealthiest individuals, successful entrepreneur and generous philanthropist who touched countless lives, when used his wits and instincts. While researching I noticed a pattern and that was how he kept on failing on his small businesses. For example, he had a candy business in Philadelphia, in which only lasted about six years. Then, he had a second candy business in New York City which also seemed to fail. Last, he had another candy business called the Lancaster Caramel Company, and in that business he was successful because he had went to a confectioner in Denver where he learned to make caramel with fresh milk.
