Grand: Hello and welcome to “Big Ideas on Film”, the only talk show in Australia that gets to the core of the movies making the biggest splash in box office. I’m your host, Kathy Grand and today’s cinematic masterpiece is “The Hunger Games”, and it’s focus on power. I have with me the director of this film, Gary Ross, and the author of this amazing trilogy, Suzanne Collins. Welcome guys, thanks for coming.

I knew we’d have a big response while also attracting other people, i just never expected it to be like this.

Collins: I believe fans were really interested about how it showed more depth of the other characters instead of just Katniss. Yes we changed things, but we’re allowed some creative license to make it different. But the overall response blew me away really. I’m always thankful for anyone that supports me.
