Bilbo Baggins is quite a boring character yet he has some moments in which he is adventurous. Being from the Baggins side is where he got his boring personality but also being from the took side he decides to be adventurous...rarely choosing to take dangerous risks in which he could lose his life. Bilbo decides first to go on an adventure with Gandalf and thirteen dwarves. He then decides to venture of into a land full of trolls,climb over the misty mountains,and even sleep in a creepy cave. Bilbo gets a little visit from Gandalf in chapter one. In this long but exciting chapter Gandalf politely asks Bilbo to venture with him and simply being a boring Baggins Bilbo rejects this invitation. Bilbo soon gets another visit from fourteen people thirteen dwarves and Gandalf. Running out of beer and cakes Bilbo soon agrees aggravatedly to go on Gandalf's dreaded adventure. Bilbo soon ventures into a sticky situation. Bilbo is caught and contained in a sack with the dwarves and Gandalf. Being old and wise Gandalf starts an argument between three different trolls disguising his voice to sound like a troll making comments about the other two. Without being able to sleep Bilbo decides to venture deeper into the cave and deeper into the dangerous dark. With the cave coming to a wet end Bilbo meets Gollum.Gollum challenges Bilbo to a riddle due. Bilbo agrees that if he loses that Gollum can eat him and Gollum agrees that if Bilbo wins that he has to do whatever Bilbo wishes. Bilbo wins the duel but Gollum is hungry,hungry enough to cheat to be able to eat Bilbo.
