This led to the invocation of the War Measures Act (WMA) by Prime Minister (PM) Pierre Trudeau on October 16th, 1970. There are many security risks of accepting refugees into Canada, because some of these refugees might be part of a terrorist organization with a mission to cause harm to Canadians. A woman named Rehab Dughmosh ( Syrian ) has been arrested for attacking people at a Canadian Tire store. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police ( RCMP ) have laid terror-related charges against her, including an attempted murder in benefit or association with a terrorist group. This committee works with GATE resource teachers, school administrators, general education teachers, and other school personnel to receive updates, provide feedback, and ask questions related to GATE programs. The advisory council meets at least three times a year in order to ensure that the education of every child is enhanced by assisting with program planning and assessment. The role of parent representatives is to serve as a liaison between the school’s GATE program and the school community.
