Bill Gates remains the richest man in the world in the year 2016 list. Bill Gates’ full name is William Henry Gates III; he began to show interest in computers at the age of thirteen at Lakeside School. He continued this passion into his college with his friend Paul Allen (Bill Gates Biography). Bill Gates’ creation and leadership of his companies and foundations displays his importance to American life and the world.

The foundation works with several investors to develop vaccines such as the HPV and MenAfriVac vaccines for several diseases in different counties including the United States. “At the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, all of our investments in vaccines and immunization contribute to the goals of the Decade of Vaccines … we are working to ensure that existing life-saving vaccines are introduced into countries where people need them most and to support the innovation needed to develop new vaccines and new delivery technologies and approaches” (Vaccine Delivery). The Gates foundation contributes to the Decade of Vaccines in order to deliver vaccines to people in underprivileged countries. These vaccines include the HPV vaccine which is distributed in the United States. The Gates Foundation works with the GAVI Alliance to help and improve the lives of children in poorer countries. “One of our most important collaborations is with the GAVI Alliance, a global public-private partnership of scientists, health experts, government leaders, businesses, and philanthropic organizations whose goal is to save children’s lives and improve health through increased access to immunization in 73 of the world’s poorest countries” (Vaccine Delivery).
