Bill Gates is a fascinating person. His charity foundation is worth 53 billion dollars (“Bill Gates”). Through hard work as a kid and a good education Bill developed a lifestyle that everyone dreams of. Bill is changing the world with the millions of dollars he donates. Bill Gates childhood may have been short, but it defines who he is. William Henry Gates III (Bill) is the third William Henry Gates in his family (“Bill Gates” Childhood). He was born in Seattle, Washington on October 28, 1955 (“Bill Gates” Biography). As a young kid Bill’s family and friends nicknamed him Trey (“The Untold Life Story of Bill Gates”). At a young age Bill and business partner Paul created “Traf-o-Data”, a program that monitored traffic patterns in Seattle. Off of that one program the two made $20,000. Bill and Paul found that they had a lot of interest in computers so they started to program them (“Bio”). They contacted the company MITS telling them they have a computer program that the company could use (“Bill Gates” Biography). MITS was interested in their program, the only problem was Bill and Paul had no program. In a two-month span the two partners created a program that worked perfectly for the company. Bill was hired by MITS but would not always see eye to eye with the president of the company. After a lot of arguing the president, Ed Roberts sold the company. Gates had to sue the company to get his software back, which was a long process. After Bill got all of his software back he started Microsoft, a computer programming company. The official start date of Microsoft is April 4,1975 (“Bill Gates” Childhood). Bill and Paul established Microsoft in Albuquerque (“Bill Gates” Entrepreneur). In his young company Bill had 25 employees (“Bill Gates” Biography). After he made himself head of the company Microsoft grossed $2.5 million, he was only twenty-three.
