William Henry Gates III, also known as Bill Gates, was born in 1955, in Seattle, Washington. He is best known for being the founder of Microsoft, however, he is also a well established philanthropist and entrepreneur. At 40 years old he became the wealthiest man on the planet, and has kept that position for more than a decade. Today, 20 years later, he is once again at the top position of Forbes' Billionaires. Gates discovered his passion for computers and programming at the age of 13, during his period at Lakeside School. During his period there, he excelled at both math and science classes.
