Josh Gordon one of the most impressive and talented athletes in the NFL. He came off a great college career at Baylor and was drafted by the Cleveland Browns. His first seasons proved that he was ready to face other professional talent. His 40 time was a 4.3 making him one of the fastest overall players in the NFL and he was among the taller receivers standing at 6 feet 3 inches. His speed and size combination made him one of the deadliest receivers in the NFL. His work ethic was through the roof and he was a very smart player with great field vision and football I.Q. He was born to his mother Elaine and father Herald Gordon. Gordon is mainly of a Haitian descent. He went to school at Lamar High School in Houston, Texas where he ran track and played basketball and football. Football became his main sport. In high school he became All-District 20-5A. He was also an excellent track athlete but he did not want to pursue a career in that sport. While in high school, he was a three star athlete and recruited by Baylor, Houston, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, and Texas Tech. He committed to Baylor after receiving a major scholarship. During his Sophomore season his first run in with Marijuana occurred. He was suspended from the team after falling asleep in a drive thru with Marijuana in the car. In 2013, Gordon lead the NFL in receiving yards in only his second season. He was finally making a name for himself among all of the other professional talent and showing he was worthy of the second round pick and maybe even a first round pick. He drew his first suspension in the NFL in June of 2013. These suspensions continued and progressively got worse all the way until 2016 where he was suspended for a season. The CCC states that “Deep within his conscience man discovers a law which he has not laid upon himself but which he must obey”. Josh Gordon said in an interview that once he was suspended he decided that he was just going to party. He wanted to forget everything and have some relief. He said that he found himself roaming the streets looking for a dealer or something. He felt like everyone was against him and he realized, deep in his own conscience like the CCC says that the choice he made was wrong. He entered himself into rehab and came out over six months later. His teammates and his family supported him through the entire process. He made the correct choice and came out a changed man.
