Newton was born on December 25, 1642. An interesting fact is that this was also the same year that Galileo died. Newton died at the old age of 84 on March 31, 1727. The cause of death was due to digestion problems. They say that they had also found traces of mercury in Newton. The reason for that is unknown, but he had been showing some very odd behavior through some parts of his life. Newton is now considered a genius and he is very well known today. Not only was he a mathematician, he was also a physicist, scientist, philosopher, and astronomer. Starting from the beginning, Newton came from a family of farmers. When Newton was born, he was very fragile because he was a premature baby. He was so small that no one expected to live him a few months, let alone 84 years. …show more content…

That was the time when his mom also abandoned him and send him to live with his grandmother. A couple of years later, Newton’s stepfather also dies and he his mother makes him come back to work at the family farm. Newton hated this idea because he was not very good at farming and some say that he even failed his farming exam. This might not be necessarily accurate, but he definitely did not want to become a farmer because he was much more intelligent for that. In 1655, Newton started attending Grantham Grammar School. They say that he was not that great at school. Some even say that he was close to the bottom of his class. This did not mean that he was not smart enough, it just meant that he just lacked concentration and attention. When Newton was 18, he started Trinity College at Cambridge. That is where he truly started to blossom. He graduated at 22 years old in the year 1664. After that, he moved back home. He spent a year and a half there because the University was closed due to the Bubonic Plague that was also going around at that time.
