Truett Cathy, founder of Chick-fil-a, and one I consider being an “entrepreneurial legend” that has shown exemplary economic business and managerial decision throughout his tenure as owner and expansion of his famous brand chicken across the country that dates back to World War II (Chick-fil-A).

Cathy had a unique entrepreneurial style which consisted of four components: Generosity Factor, Discover the Joy of Giving Your Time, Talent, and Treasure. This philosophy that Mr. Cathy had spear headed his best economic decision which has become well know all around the world, all Chick-fil-a franchises have always and always will be closed on Sunday’s. Now you might wonder why that is well because he felt that his employees and customer base would appreciate the fact that you should take one day out of your work schedule to spend time with your friends and family so they could honor their religious beliefs and not eat out on Sunday’s. As of today, Mr. Cathy’s legacy that was developed in his own backyard has been very powerful and fulfilling as it pertains to his businesses, foundations, and community service, not to mention being partners with the greater Atlanta business community in philanthropic endeavors, stimulating the local economy through job creation, along with stewardship initiatives to help make the community they call home and is the headquarters for Chick-fil-A a better place than it was before Chick-fil-A existed. Mr. Cathy even created a National Sandwich Day: An Homage to the Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich (Chick-fil-A).
In conclusion, Mr. Cathy is an “entrepreneurial legend” who has shown proven exemplary managerial economics in decision making and ethical behavior.
