Meow! Neigh! As a young biology scientist, I took great interest in drawing animals. The 1-2-3 Draw Pets and Animals drawing book was always open on my desk next to the Algebra homework packets and the grammar book. My family took me on road trips to Yellowstone, Glacier and other National Parks so I could spot wildlife, take pictures and return home to draw their anatomy. As I entered high school, I had opportunities to closely interact with people as a volunteer at Kids Quest Museum, a camp counselor and a gymnastics coach. My combined interests in biological sciences and my love for helping and aiding others led me to consider a career in healthcare and medicine. For me, biology demonstrates not only how we are built but also what ties living things together and how our actions have consequences on the things around us. Despite that many of my friends dropped out of Spanish because they thought taking AP Spanish in senior year would be too challenging, I chose to tackle the challenge. Even if I am the only senior in the class, I devote my attention to developing my knowledge of the Spanish language. Being a part of the high school mentality drives me to stand out from the rest and therefore, act in the manner that I believe is correct and effective.
