The first woman president of an African country, President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf of Liberia, once said, "The size of your dreams must always exceed your current capacity to achieve them. If your dreams do not scare you, they are not big enough." While the fear of uncertainty of the future or failure may be intimidating, I have confidence that through hard work and perseverance future goals are achievable even in light of adversity. In 10 years, I will have attained bachelor, masters, and PhD degrees in biomedical engineering (BME) by 2024 and have some industry experience.
