I am applying for the Birmingham NQT Pool 2017 as it will enhance the likelihood of securing a teaching post, within Birmingham; a city that’s rich with culture and diversity. I feel that I would be an asset to the pool, and to any school, as I am highly committed to ensuring that all pupils reach their full potential. I am highly regarded for being able to build worthwhile relationships with pupils and fellow colleagues, relationships that I subsequently make effective use of in reference to pupil progress and management.

In addition to this, I also received training from Google, on the use of virtual reality and high technology within the classroom; which is highly beneficial when considering the vision of classrooms of the future. As an NQT, I would endeavour to continue extending my professional development to become a valuable asset to any school to support not only children with SEND needs but to challenge the more able too.

Prior to the PGCE, I graduated from the University of Wolverhampton with a First Class BA (Hons) degree in Childhood, Family and Education Studies. The course focused heavily on educational research and the involvement of families and communities in schools. This knowledge also enthused my application, as I am aware of how vital the inclusion of community and families is to schools.

Whilst studying my degree, I volunteered for ChildLine. The role involved me working experienced professionals that have a wealth of knowledge of how best to suit and meet children’s specific needs.
