This organization was established to the advancement of its members because loyalty is the basis of the organization. They represented themselves as a whole and this was conveyed in a greeting “All for One, One for All” when they came across a member of the group (Street gangs, n.d, p. 1) Within folk nation group, they have their own individual colors and hand signs. The Gangster Disciples are a highly organized street and prison gang. It operates close to a professional military task force. The gang’s territory reaches into Illinois, New Hampshire, New York, Florida, Tennessee, Texas, Missouri, Arkansas, Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, Kansas, Ohio and Colorado (Gangster Disciples, n.d., p.1). They have no alliances with other street and prison gangs. The chain of command comprises of Board of Directors, Governors, Regents, Coordinators and foot soldiers.
