A Blessing “I want to write a book about shoes that’s full of footnotes.” ― Jarod Kintz. This quote was the main reason why I thought about making this personal narrative essay what it is. Have you ever been waiting on a pair of shoes to come out for days, weeks, or even months? Well, I definitely had a love for shoes, not just a pair. I always loved shoes since the age of eight. I used to urge my mother to take me to Footlocker every Saturday, but she only took me now and then. The pair of shoes were called “Air Jordan 11.” They were superior and famous around Atlanta for people who were in love with shoes like me. Plus, majority of my friends wanted them. But you have to take me back to my house before my parents come back because I’m pretty sure that they’re coming back tomorrow.” I left the house at around 1:00 am and once I got there, there was already a line waiting for me and my friends. As time passed it was getting closer and closer till the store (Footlocker) becomes opened and the line just grew and grew. And on the other side, it felt as chilly as a block of ice that day. Once the store opened, the line was as long as a line would be at Best Buy on Black Friday. My parents texted me and said that they will be back home in three to four hours.
