Overall, the brands Bloomingdale’s sells all seem to maintain and strive for a certain level of sustainability, whether it be social, environmental, or social. These brands allow Bloomingdale’s, as a retailer, to adopt and promote their sustainability practices, further helping Bloomingdale’s image. For example, TOMS One For One method is known by many of Bloomingdale’s shoppers and shows that Bloomingdale’s values this type of giving. Similarly, companies such as Tumi have been paving the way for innovation and beginning to maintain a level of environmental sustainability. Tumi recently changed the production of the metal features on their luggage, eliminating the use of original zinc and replacing it with recycled zinc. Bloomingdale’s needs to acknowledge this drastic change in production and convey it to the other brands in their stores.
