In today’s educational institution the current challenge is to educate a body of multicultural students with various learning levels by providing them with challenging and rigorous curriculums which encourage higher levels of comprehension leading to the promotion of social change. While the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) of 2004 clearly states that students with disabilities must be educated, to the greatest extent possible in the same environment as their non disabled peers and teachers must modify instruction for their accommodation. On the other hand students identified as gifted did not have a federal mandate which outlined specifications for their learning therefore the U.S Congress passed the Javits Act it aided in the identification and research of gifted and talented students. While considering the success of such strategies educators are aware that such educational strategies do not come in a one size fits all package. Therefore, various assessment techniques must be used to measure the progress of all students. As educators introduce various learning techniques in their classrooms continuous rotations should be put into to place to ensure positive progress is attainable for all students. One of the most widely used resources is to ensure challenging levels of instruction introduction is Bloom’s Taxonomy. It allows educators to utilize various instructional strategies to introduce the same content while simultaneously addressing the various cultural needs of the students.
