When you eat Blue Bell ice cream you can feel it become creamy and it is cold to the touch. It satisfies your senses and leaves you in a state that is begging for more of that savory taste. Blue Bell is one ice cream of thousands that leaves me in a satisfied state that is why it is most likely my favorite brand. Now, Blue Bell was not always what it is today it has developed new flavors, slogans, and was created over a hundred years ago. Blue Bell started on a hot. sweltering, summer day in 1907. In 1907, local farmers came together in Brenham, TX and established Brenham Creamery Company. Many workers worked at the creamery and made all sorts of things from butters to extra cream that was left over from the butters. The company delivered …show more content…

He “is credited with reversing the creamery's declining fortunes after two early managers failed to expand the business.” (Author: Rajni Madan) In 1958, Blue Bell discontinued creating butters because they noticed that they were making more money in the ice cream industry. In 1969, the most popular flavor was introduced and it was homemade vanilla ice cream. Everyone loved this flavor and it made Blue Bell more popular, also in this year they received a new continuous freezer, which soon bumped their daily production from two gallons a day in wooden tubs in 1936 to 15,000 gallons an hour by 1993. Now, Blue Bell didn’t have a logo so they adopted the familiar logo that we know today which is the girl leading her cow. This has always stayed the same and has never changed. Now in the year of 1992, Blue Bell dominated ice cream sales which led to them being second most popular leading brand of ice cream; they were right behind the brand of Breyer’s. Now when were the famous flavors of Blue Bell introduced? Well, in December of 2015 they came back with the holiday flavor, Peppermint! Also along with this holiday flavor, five more were reintroduced to the market; Buttered Pecan, Cookies n’ Cream, Dutch Chocolate, Pistachio Almond, and The Great Divide.
