There are many types of anime genres that are enjoyed by people across the world. One popular anime is Shounen anime. Shounen anime is usually a long term series targeted for 8 to 18 years old males. Many Shounen anime gain popularity based on the plot, main character and pacing. There are 3 top Shounen anime called “Boku no Hero Academia”, “Naruto Shippuden”, and “Dragon Ball Z.” These three anime are very similar but different in many ways. Boku no Hero Academia, Naruto Shippuden and Dragon Ball Z all have many differences and similarities in plot, pacing, and main character.

Naruto’s pacing goes very fast. Naruto learns many ninjutsu as he learns from transforming into summoning giant toads. Naruto fights missing ninjas to a huge tanuki made out of sand. As Naruto grows up into Shippuden, the ninjutsu and events gets more rushed as ninjas are shooting laser beams and summoning dead humans. Naruto goes from fighting enemy ninjas to the god of ninjas. This is very fast pacing because the events are rushed and Naruto gains power from right to left. DBZ pacing is very similar to Naruto because Goku goes from fighting animal hybrids to the god of death. Goku gains many transformation and the pacing is rushed. The pacing of both shows cause a downfall in some of their popularity. To sum it up, both show give very little time for the events to progress as the main characters gain ridiculous power. Thus, DBZ and Naruto both have very fast pacing.
Hero Academia and Naruto have very different pacing. The pacing of Hero Academia is actually very well paced. Hero Academia have very well planned events because it goes from middle school to high school. The pacing is slow but no fast compared to Naruto. Naruto goes from the strength of a genin to overpowering the god of ninja in 3 ½ years, which is too fast. While in Hero academia, the characters are given time to strengthen their quirks and train. The main character of Dragon Ball Z is a saiyan named Goku who is very pure hearted and has a very protective side of his loved ones. Naruto is very similar to Goku as Naruto also is very protective of his friends. They both are physically similar as they both have blue eyes and wear orange clothing. Naruto and Goku both have a heroic father and eating habits. Both characters share a sense of justice because both of them want peace. Both Naruto and Goku usually forgive their enemies and convert them to allies. However, Goku is an alien from outer space while Naruto is enhanced human. Therefore, Naruto and Goku are very similar and have little differences.
