The three different genres of music that I have chosen were Bob Dylan’s “Man Gave Names to All the Animals” (American Folk), Bob Marley’s “Exodus” (Reggae) and Deitrick Haddon’s “Sinner’s Prayer” (Gospel). The main goal of this paper is to associate the different types of music, that has biblical influences, themes, or allusions that express parallels to verses in the Bible. Music can be expressed to understand the Bible in many ways. People have so many different interpretations of the Bible and music is just another way to express the meaning of the message that is being communicated. Therefore, what better way to understand the Bible on a different level than to hear it interpreted through music.

"Ah, think I'll call it a pig."
At the end of the song Bob Dylan describes a creature, although he did not say what the creature name was. From the description we can clearly envision that he is describing a snake and probably the same snake that got Eve to eat the apple from the Tree of Good and Evil.
Following the Book of Genesis is the Book of Exodus. Exodus is an inspirational story about how the Israelites got their freedom from being enslaved in Egypt and how a man named Moses and his brother was chosen to deliver the Israelites from slavery. After being freed the Israelites traveled to Mount Sinai where God gave Moses the Commandments stating that he wanted the Israelites people to follow him and in return God gave the Israelites the land of Canaan, which is known as the Promise land. Returning to the song, Bob Marley’s “Exodus”, the second line of the song is “Movement of Jah people”, which express the biblical theme of the song. Moving down a couple of lines Bob Marley sings,
“Well Everything is all right
So we gonna walk
Through the roads of
