Bobby Flay is a very famous sous-chef, is known for his southwestern style of cooking. Flay is known for his many cooking shows and restaurants. He also has quite a few cookbooks that made him very famous as well. Flay has become very successful in his career. He has made many people think differently when it comes to the food he cooks. Born Robert William Flay on December 10, 1964, in New York, City (Imdb.com) (bio.com). He was raised on Manhattans upper eastside by his divorced parents Bill and Dorothy Flay. He made his first appearance on Food Network in 1994 and soon became a television fixture in the vein of the following celebrity chefs Mario Batali, Emeril Lagasse, and Racheal Ray (bio.com). Flay have hosted several Food Network shows, such as Grill It with Bobby Flay and Throwdown with Bobby Flay (askville.com). His frequent appearances on Food Network have now made him one of Americas best known chefs. Not everyone was charmed by his television persona however, when Flay challenged Japanese chef Masaharu Morimoto on Iron Chef in 2000, Flay climbed on his cutting board and raised his arms in victory (Flay ultimately lost).
