Cities and towns of note in Guadalupe County include Seguin, Schertz, Geronimo, McQueeney, Cibolo, and Staples. Sequin, the county seat, is named after Juan N. Sequin, a hero of early Texas and the Texas Revolution. Sequin contains several Texas historical markers which you can read about in the next section of this book, but there are also several interesting historic sites in Sequin worthy of a close look which do not bear a Texas historical marker. The Dietz Doll House, for example, was built in 1910 for a little girl named Alice O'Brien and bears German roots as well as a link to American History. German immigrant Louis Dietz built this life-sized doll house, actually a playhouse, between his family home and the Dietz Cabinet and Toy

The documentary, Merchants of cool, describes an evolving relationship between the vast teenage population and corporate America. The film provides an in-depth look at the marketing strategies and communication between these groups. Adolescents are shown as learners and adapters of the fast-paced world; they’re constantly exposed to fashions and trends. These young adults have a lot of disposable income and are willing to spend it, in order to gain social popularity. In other words, they are chasing ‘cool’.

The rhythm-infused activity of “Baby Driver”, but the oftentimes addictive beats that charge Edgar Wright’s latest accomplishment activity about alone as such. The tunes intensify, complement, and even access the movie’s every movement, down to the dialogue, pacing, and accomplishments scenery. And it’s in actuality absolutely animating – for the aboriginal half-hour. Then, the booming soundtrack begins to baffle with the storytelling rather than enhance it. Agreeable cues that drive the alteration and song lyrics, which in about-face characterize the peril, never top the ability witnessed in the film’s aboriginal act – and accept mostly vanished continued afore the climax.

The 24 yr old Michigan based artist carries a unique, soulful range of falsettos, somewhat similar to Cee Lo Green, yet completely his own brand of funk. To further make us fall in love, Wilson recently released the music video to coincide with the single. Visually capturing the quirky-funk sounds of the track, “Wedding Daze’s” simple, yet strategically shot approach, reveals what needs to be seen, when it needs to be seen. For my replication study I chose to use Bandura’s Transmission of Aggression Through Imitation of Aggressive Models, also known as the Bobo Doll experiment. The purpose of the experiment was to not only see how impressionable young children are to adult actions, but also to measure the difference in young boys aggression to young girls after witnessing an adult act out aggressively against a bobo doll. The conclusion was that children are impressionable, and Bandura found that boys were more prone to act out in violence or make violent remarks as opposed to girls. The aspects of this study that I would target would be the male tendency to act aggressively as opposed to females.
High school is a common source in which inspires and spreads trends similar to the comparison described by Baird, “Toasting to high school and survival, complementing each other’s thigh gaps.” (3-4) Baird compares high school to survival to highlight the teenager’s motivation to take certain measures to achieve social expectations in order to survive in today’s society. Teenagers create trends that are inspired from celebrities such as “Beyonce-inspired thigh gaps” known as a gap between a person’s thighs that give the illusion that the individual has skinny thighs and therefore promote the ideal slim body shape. Society promotes these unnecessary trends by providing tips of how to get skinny and suggesting that losing weight is a solution to everything. This compels teenagers to practice ridiculous methods by starving themselves, using waist trainers or even wrapping their thighs.
Toy story is the initially enlivened film by Pixar Directed by John Lasseter. Toy Story takes after a gathering of toys who put on a show to be dead at whatever point people are available. Teenagers seeing these images being posted online, and it makes them change into the expectations of society. I come from a town where everyone tries to be like everyone else. If they see the latest trend on social media, they have the item ordered right
Lion, directed by Garth Davis, is a compelling interpretation of a remarkable true story of Saroo Brierley, lost as a child and reunited with his family 25 years later. Throughout Davis explores the unique circumstances under which Saroo is separated and reconnected with his family and his journey along the way. At some points of the film, I was confronted by how Saroo, a five-year-old boy, expertely navigates, with great instinct and genuine innocence, through an extended, yet life threatening ride. To put it in other words, Lion is a journey that grabs you entirely; whether you want it or not, and you are involved in each and every scene. I instantly fell in love with the connection and relationship between Saroo and his older brother
The film Teddy Bear revolves around a Danish bodybuilder named Dennis and his pursuit to find a fulfilling relationship with a woman. Throughout his life, either due to his oppressive mother or crippling shyness, Dennis has never been able to connect with a woman and engage in a thriving romantic relationship. As a 38 year old man, Dennis becomes frustrated with his situation and decides to follow in the footsteps of a family member and travel to Thailand, where he has been told it is easier to talk to women. However, Dennis does not appear to initially understand that this is because of the legal status of prostitution in Thailand and the resulting massive sex tourism industry. While researching the film, I discovered that it is known as 10 timer til Paradis, or Ten Hours to Paradise, in Danish.
